Rohit Sharma replaces Yuvraj Singh in the test squad for 3rd match against WI. No surprises. If not for the 3rd test, the selectors definitely would have axed him for the upcoming Aussie tour. Yuvraj has not performed even against a very inexperienced WI team in the last two tests. Acting against him, India has won both the matches quite comfortably. So, there was no excuse of team being under any kind of pressure. He looked very ordinary, in terms of technique, during his short stays at the crease. He was even dwarfed by the fact that there were already half-a-dozen centuries scored in both the matches. I do not remember when Yuvraj has entertained crowds with a match-winning innings. Last, I think, was six 6's scored off Stuart Broad (2007 T20 WC ?). That was eons ago.
Time for Yuvraj to safeguard his place in ODIs and T20s. He deserves it. Probably, only it.
